Job Description
We are seeking a Databricks AI/ML Developer to design and build rapid AI and Generative AI prototypes that demonstrate business value using FEMA data within the Databricks platform. This role focuses on developing lightweight, fast-moving AI solutions using Agent Bricks, Databricks Agentic Framework, MCPs, and related GenAI capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deploy AI agent prototypes using Databricks Agent Bricks and Python to address FEMA business and operational workflows.
- Build proof-of-concept and prototype solutions that can be quickly demonstrated to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with FEMA program teams to identify and scope high-value AI use cases with an emphasis on rapid delivery and measurable outcomes.
- Integrate AI agents with governed data products managed through Unity Catalog.
- Partner closely with data engineering teams to ensure data accessibility, quality, and governance compliance.
- Leverage Databricks Agentic Framework, MCPs, and other GenAI capabilities to enhance agent functionality.
- Expose agent services and Databricks APIs for integration with Databricks Apps and other front-end applications.
- Support demonstrations, testing, and iterative improvements based on stakeholder feedback.
Required Qualifications
- Experience developing applications in Python.
- Hands-on experience with Databricks, including notebooks, workflows, and data integration.
- Knowledge of Generative AI, LLMs, AI agents, and agentic frameworks.
- Experience building APIs and integrating backend services with front-end applications.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to rapidly prototype technical solutions.
- Ability to work collaboratively with business stakeholders, data engineers, and application developers.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Databricks Agent Bricks, Databricks Agentic Framework, and Model Context Protocol (MCP).
- Familiarity with Unity Catalog and data governance best practices.
- Experience building AI-powered applications in cloud environments.
- Knowledge of FEMA or federal government data environments.
