Role: Security Engineer Lead
Location: Ashburn VA
US Citizens with an Active Secret Clearance required

Support the CBP Enterprise by leading a team responsible for engineering, administering, and maintaining the SOC’s security infrastructure to ensure robust and compliant operations across on-premises and cloud environments. Actively manage the lifecycle of security tools, handle upgrades and troubleshooting, and document technical processes in alignment with CBP change and configuration management policies. The Security Engineering team collaborates across the organization to implement new solutions, address technical issues, and provide recommendations for emerging technologies or improvements. Additional duties include managing asset inventories, supporting logging and data retention needs, and ensuring operational readiness for all security devices and applications.

• 3+ years of experience conducting vulnerability assessments within enterprise environments.
• 3+ years of experience with application security implementation.
• 3+ years of experience with firewall management.
• 3+ years of experience with access control and authorizaton.
• 3+ years of experience working with IDS/IPS.
• Working knowledge of FISMA compliance and the NIST RMF.
• Relevant experience in last two years
