Job Description
Centurion is seeking a Contract Specialist to support federal acquisition and contracting activities across the full procurement lifecycle, including pre-award, award, and post-award functions. This individual will work closely with Contracting Officers, program personnel, and contractors to assist with procurement planning, solicitation development, contract awards, modifications, compliance documentation, and contract administration.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting with acquisition planning and procurement strategy
- Supporting development of solicitations, contract terms, and special clauses
- Conducting market research and documenting sources
- Assisting with proposal evaluations, price/cost analysis, and award documentation
- Preparing contract files, negotiation memoranda, and contract modifications
- Supporting post-award administration, contractor performance tracking, and closeout documentation
- Preparing procurement reports, correspondence, and status updates
- Utilizing procurement systems such as PRISM, SAP, FBMS, and SAM
- Providing acquisition guidance and contractual support to internal customers and contractors
Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant federal contracting or procurement experience
- Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and/or Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS)
- Experience supporting pre-award, award, and post-award contracting activities
- Knowledge of multiple federal contract types
- Experience with procurement and contract writing systems such as PRISM, SAP, FBMS, or similar
- Strong documentation, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple contracting actions in a fast-paced environment
