Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Appian Engineer to support mission-critical initiatives for federal clients. This role is ideal for a senior-level developer with deep expertise in the Appian low-code platform who thrives in secure, Agile environments. You will play a key role in designing, building, and delivering scalable business process solutions that directly support client mission objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement robust Appian applications for enterprise and federal environments
• Translate complex stakeholder and mission requirements into scalable Appian solutions
• Lead end-to-end development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, deployment, and support
• Ensure adherence to Appian best practices, including reusable components, performance optimization, and maintainability
• Integrate Appian applications with enterprise systems, APIs, and third-party services in secure environments
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives
• Produce and maintain technical documentation for solutions, configurations, and processes
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers
• Perform code reviews and ensure high-quality, secure, and efficient delivery

Required Qualifications

• Active Secret Clearance (required)
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Strong experience in Appian development (senior/lead level)
• Proven ability to design and deliver large-scale Appian applications
• Experience working in secure, government or regulated environments
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies

Preferred Qualifications

• Appian Senior or Lead Developer Certification
• Demonstrated expertise in:
  • Appian platform architecture and advanced features
  • Appian coding standards and best practices
  • Performance tuning and optimization
  • Building reusable components and frameworks
• Experience integrating with:
  • REST/SOAP APIs
  • Enterprise data systems
  • Third-party platforms
• Strong technical documentation and communication skills
• Experience mentoring and guiding development teams
