Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Palantir Foundry Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and workflows within the Palantir Foundry platform. This role will be responsible for transforming raw data into reliable, production-ready data assets that support analytics, operations, and decision-making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Integration & Transformation:
    Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using PySpark, SQL, and Foundry Pipeline Builder to ingest, transform, and optimize data from multiple sources.
  • Ontology Modeling:
    Build and manage the Foundry Ontology, creating a digital twin of the organization by defining data objects, relationships, and actions.
  • Workflow Automation:
    Implement and optimize automated data workflows for ingestion, transformation, and operationalization.
  • Collaboration:
    Partner closely with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable, high-performance data solutions.
  • Support & Maintenance:
    Monitor and support production pipelines, troubleshoot issues, and ensure data quality, reliability, and system performance.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with Palantir Foundry in a production environment
  • Strong proficiency in PySpark and SQL
  • Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines and data workflows
  • Solid understanding of data modeling and ontology design
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Active SECRET Clearance Required

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field (minimum required)

Nice to Have

  • Experience working in government or highly regulated environments
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Experience with large-scale, distributed data systems
