Testing Lead
Project Description:
The USPS IV Team seeks a Testing Lead, Application Automation testers, and Customer Application Testers to contribute to the Informed Visibility Application (IV) supporting IV-MTR and IV-PW. IV is a critical system providing real-time visualization of mail movement in the USPS network, enhancing service performance, and predictive analytics. IV processes over 2 billion daily records, fostering operational efficiency and empowering stakeholders with actionable insights.
Required Skills:
- Experience in creating clear test plans and scenarios using HP ALM or similar tools
- Proficiency in manual testing with knowledge of when to incorporate automated testing
- Ability to build and utilize Test Automation scripts and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, UFT)
- Understanding of DevOps and Agile methodologies
- Knowledge of Version One or other work management tools
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with stakeholders
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in testing environment
- Experience testing in cloud environments, GCP or Azure preferred
- Knowledge of SQL for querying databases
- Familiarity with postman for Web services testing
- Understanding of SDLC and application lifecycle
Day-to-day Responsibilities:
- Develop and oversee the testing strategy
- Allocate resources effectively for testing activities
- Manage automation testers, functional testers, and CAT testers
- Assist in identifying appropriate test environments for each release
- Collaborate with the Environment Management Team and SCRUM teams
- Act as the Testing Lead, with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Collaborate and report to the application team leaders, business partners, and ELT on a routine basis
- Ability to cross train and mentor the testing team, including other vendors and USPS resources
- Responsible for Chaos and HA testing
Education: Minimum of 5+ years of experience in testing environment
