Centurion is hiring at Project Manager for our client in Richmond, VA. The Project Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the successful planning, execution, and completion of multiple concurrent projects that advance our client's mission and strategic priorities. This position manages all phases of the project lifecycle—from initiation to close—while ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. The Project Manager works closely with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and executive sponsors to deliver business solutions that meet organizational goals and operational needs.
Plan, direct, and coordinate activities for multiple projects to ensure alignment with defined goals, objectives, timelines, and funding parameters.
Manage projects from initiation through closure, including project scope definition, scheduling, budgeting, resource planning, and risk management.
Facilitate communication between stakeholders, project teams, and executive sponsors to ensure clear direction and timely decision-making.
Gather, analyze, and manage both business and technical requirements to develop actionable project plans and deliverables.
Monitor project progress and performance, providing regular status updates and reports to leadership and key stakeholders.
Lead cross-functional teams and oversee vendor activities, particularly in construction-related projects, ensuring contract compliance and quality outcomes.
Apply project management best practices and methodologies, including both Waterfall and Agile approaches, to ensure successful delivery.
Support continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance project management processes and tools within the organization.
Education: Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent work experience; Master’s degree preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of progressive experience in project management, preferably managing multiple, complex projects simultaneously.
Certifications:
PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) or Program Management Professional (PgMP) preferred.
Agile certification (e.g., PMI-ACP, ScrumMaster, or equivalent) preferred.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required.
Moderate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Project required.
Experience Requirements:
Proven experience managing vendor relationships and contracts, particularly within construction or facilities projects.
Strong background in both Waterfall and Agile project management methodologies.
Demonstrated success in client-facing, customer-oriented roles.
