Centurion is seeking an accomplished and dynamic Senior Project Manager to join our team. This role is instrumental in driving the successful delivery of complex, high-impact projects that align with our strategic objectives. As a senior member of the HR PMO, you will apply advanced project management expertise, strategic leadership, and cross-functional knowledge to ensure business outcomes are achieved.
Projects may span across software development, infrastructure, enterprise transformation, business system integrations, compliance, continuous improvement, and security initiatives. The ideal candidate brings strong experience in HR IT/Services, acquisition integrations, and enterprise-level project execution.
Project Governance & Compliance: Implement and enforce project governance frameworks, ensuring adherence to methodologies, standards, and best practices. Mentor junior team members and provide input on continuous process improvement.
Project Planning & Execution: Lead the planning and execution of large, complex projects from initiation through benefits realization. Define scope, business cases, deliverables, timelines, budgets, and success criteria.
Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships with senior executives, functional leaders, and external partners to ensure alignment and transparency throughout the project lifecycle.
Team Leadership: Inspire, coach, and mentor cross-functional teams. Foster collaboration, innovation, and professional growth while optimizing resource allocation.
Risk & Issue Management: Identify, monitor, and mitigate risks with proactive problem-solving and contingency planning.
Change & Adoption Management: Partner with stakeholders and change management teams to drive organizational readiness and ensure successful adoption of new processes and systems.
Resource & Financial Oversight: Manage project budgets, resource allocation, and financial forecasting. Ensure financial transparency and cost optimization.
Quality & Performance Management: Maintain accurate project plans, schedules, and documentation. Conduct quality reviews, lessons learned, and best practice sharing.
Communications Management: Deliver clear, executive-ready communications and presentations. Facilitate effective meetings, status reporting, and stakeholder updates.
Other Duties: Perform additional project-related activities as required.
Bachelor’s degree or technical certification in Business Administration, Project Management, Engineering, Human Resources, or related field.
6–10 years of experience managing HR IT/Services and/or Acquisition Integration projects.
Strong HR knowledge; additional HR functional or generalist experience highly desirable.
Proven expertise in PMI project management methodology; PMP certification preferred (Agile, Scrum, Lean Six Sigma certifications also a plus).
Demonstrated success in leading large-scale, complex projects with measurable outcomes.
Experience in managing government contracts or projects.
Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Project Online, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, SharePoint).
Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities, including executive-level presentations.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while balancing independent and collaborative work.
Ability to present complex technical details to non-technical stakeholders and communicate accurate project status, even when unfavorable.
Industry knowledge in Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, and/or Application Development preferred.
Professional humility, with a willingness to support the team in hands-on project activities as needed.
