Job Description
Centurion Consulting Group is currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Database Administrator (Network – Middle Tier) to support and manage middle-tier technologies and database systems across Windows and Linux environments. This role involves deploying and maintaining middleware services, optimizing database performance, and ensuring secure and reliable operations across various platforms and technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support middle-tier technologies including web and application servers, containers, messaging platforms, cloud services, automation tools, scripting languages, and monitoring tools.
- Administer and maintain technologies such as Apache Tomcat, WildFly, Oracle Fusion Middle Tier (OFM), IBM WebSphere, Apache HTTP, Kubernetes, Docker, IBM MQ, Kafka, Zookeeper, RedHat OpenShift, Rancher, Ansible, Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure, and more.
- Schedule and deploy middle-tier services, components, patches, and service packs using Ansible, automation tools, or manual methods.
- Build, upgrade, and configure middle-tier services with documented security settings.
- Assess and test software/configuration updates following Program Team approval.
- Monitor, mitigate, and remediate vulnerabilities using system management tools.
- Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance system performance and reliability.
- Create and deliver project plans, reports, and presentations using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, and related tools.
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience managing Oracle RDBMS, Oracle eBusiness Suite, and/or NoSQL databases.
- Proven experience with IBM WebSphere.
- Strong understanding of database design, optimization, and query writing.
- Proficiency in UNIX and Microsoft Windows operating systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Experience Level:
- Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in database administration preferred.
Education:
- A degree from an accredited college or university in a relevant field is preferred.
