Clearance Requirement: Active Top Secret with eligibility to Special Compartmented Information (SCI)
Program Description: The Program manages a collaborative multi-enclave (Unclassified, Secret, and Top Secret) portfolio of networks to provide a safe, secure, and collaborative environment in which to store, process, enrich, and analyze data. The program streamlines the examination process by offering a “one-stop shop” approach for examiners to leverage a myriad of tools and applications needed to help illustrate the totality of the criminal activity and actor(s) in question.
Position Description: IT Infrastructure Management Technical Lead - We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Infrastructure Management Technical Lead to oversee the planning, deployment, and maintenance of enterprise IT infrastructure. This individual will provide both hands-on technical leadership and strategic guidance to ensure our systems are robust, secure, scalable, and aligned with business needs. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with a deep understanding of network, server, storage, and cloud technologies.
Responsibilities:
• Support a hybrid environment of commercial, open source, and custom built software and wide range of standard and specialized hardware components.
• Perform systems, network, and software engineering services. Support includes administering, monitoring, and maintaining the health of the systems, compliance management (including accreditation support) harnessing historical and real-time data to provide insights for planning and design, administering stand-alone systems and networks, and managing incident response deployment hardware kits.
• Support the team that may be required to work flexible scheduling and extended hours. Team members may be required to work non-standard hours, weekends, or holidays to respond and resolve critical incidents.
• Lead IT Infrastructure Operations:
Manage and oversee day-to-day infrastructure operations including servers, storage, networking, virtualization, and cloud environments.
• Technical Leadership & Strategy:
Serve as the senior technical authority for infrastructure decisions, providing guidance to engineers and collaborating with IT leadership on long-term strategy.
• System Design & Implementation:
Design and implement scalable and secure infrastructure solutions in on-premises, cloud, or hybrid environments.
• Monitoring & Incident Management:
Ensure 24/7 infrastructure monitoring, performance optimization, and timely resolution of incidents or outages.
• Security & Compliance:
Implement and enforce infrastructure security standards, working closely with cybersecurity teams to maintain compliance (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2, HIPAA).
• Disaster Recovery & High Availability:
Develop, test, and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans for critical systems.
• Vendor & Stakeholder Management:
Manage relationships with technology vendors, service providers, and internal stakeholders to deliver reliable and cost-effective solutions.
• Team Mentorship:
Mentor junior engineers, provide code and architecture reviews, and foster a culture of knowledge sharing and operational excellence.
• Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain accurate infrastructure documentation and provide regular reporting on system health, capacity, and availability metrics.
Required Skills:
• Active top-secret clearance.
• Experience with unclassified, secret, top secret/sensitive compartmented information networks.
• Technical Expertise:
• Strong knowledge of virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V).
• Deep experience with Windows Server and/or Linux administration.
• Proficient in networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPN).
• Experience managing storage systems (SAN, NAS, cloud storage).
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Proficiency with monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix, Datadog, SolarWinds).
• Infrastructure scripting/automation (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python, Ansible).
• Process & Operations:
• Experience with ITIL practices and service management.
• Strong understanding of backup strategies and disaster recovery planning.
• Excellent troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
• Experience with DevSecOps culture and Agile development processes.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead by example and inspire team growth.
• Some domestic or internal travel may be required.
