Job Description

Centurion Consulting Group is looking for a Procurement Manager for a long term federal government project.  The ideal candidate will be a US Citizen and hold an Active TS Clearance.  This position is 100% remote. 
 
Manages and executes various activities related to procurement of software, hardware and other commodities as needed for the Government & Public Services (GPS) practice. Reviews software and reseller terms and conditions to identify and eliminate any risks in negotiations with Suppliers and client. Performs file documentation activities and determines the most appropriate method of procurement. Monitors file compliance with all applicable laws, standards and regulations.
 
What You'll Do:
  • Oversee critical and complex competitive bidding process, conduct routine analyses, including price/cost analysis and ensuring that all transactions are compliant with CPSR, FAR and DFARS guidelines, and applicable laws and regulations
  • Use proven sourcing strategies to support the business client's requirements for all software, hardware and other commodities as needed. 
  • Provide proposal support to the Proposal Teams as needed for software, hardware and other commodities to include advising in the development of the bill of materials.
  • Interact professionally, using highly developed interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, with an emphasis on Customer oriented services
  • Develops processes to improve supplier performance and assists in development and implementation of strategic solutions.
  • Responsible for providing guidance to procurement professional/buyer within the GPS purchasing team.  
  • Identifies and resolves contractual issues while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Monitors supply markets in key categories. Understands supplier diversity program and monitors latest trends in industry associations and diverse supplier community. Receives field inquiries from suppliers and connects them with appropriate internal stakeholders. 
  • Manager is responsible for reviewing buyer files for compliance based on their DOA.
  • Will negotiate IT agreements as needed within the procurement space. 
  •  Ability to mentor procurement professional/buyer to include consistent check in sessions and quarterly performance reviews.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
 
Required Skills:
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.)
  • Proficient in Costpoint, Coupa and SAP skills.
  • Proficient negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in negotiating, and leveraging value added reseller agreements
  • Strong consultative and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability work effectively work collaboratively with teams
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to multitask while also being detail oriented.
 
Education & Experience Required:
Bachelor’s Degree
Minimum of 6-8 years of government contract buying of software and hardware.
TS Clearance required
 
Preferred Education & Experience:
NCMA Member
Supply Chain Management certification preferred
