Job Description
We are looking for a Senior ETL Validator for our client in Woodlawn, MD. This is a long-term federal government position. Hybrid - 2-3 days onsite. Open to GC or USC only.
Key Required Skills: Strong experience in writing ETL specs and validating ETL processes with expertise in SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle, BI/MI
Position Description: • ETL Process Validation
• Writing ETL Specs
• Mentor and coach technical staff, proactively shape product vision, and support multiple internal/external initiatives to achieve mission success.
• Involved with MI reports testing in Agile environment.
• All other duties as assigned or directed.
• Test different modules of MI reporting.
• Attend all Agile ceremonies like Daily standup, Sprint planning, Backlog grooming and Sprint Retrospective meetings.
Skills Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Mathematics, Engineering or a related field and 8+ years of experience in a training-related field
• Masters or Doctorate degree may substitute for required experience.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust. Contract requirement.
*** Selected candidate must reside within two (2) hours of SSA Headquarters in Woodlawn, MD *** Selected candidate must be willing to work on-site at least 2 days a week.
Required Skills: • Expertise writing ETL Specs
• Experience validating ETL processes.
• Strong experience with SQL, mapping, and integration of databases such as DB2, Oracle 19c, and PostgreSQL is a plus.
• Strong experience in testing Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) applications.
• Proficiency writing scripts using Oracle PL/SQL, PostgreSQL, and Linux.
• Familiarity extracting data from multiple data sources such as DB2, Oracle, and flat files.
• Experience scripting in a Linux environment to automate ETL solutions and data migration jobs.
• Knowledge of when to use plain SQL vs. PL/SQL.
• Experience designing and developing test strategies based on Business Requirement document. • Strong communication and collaborative skills.
Desired Skills:Showcase your knowledge of modern development through the following experience or skills:
• Development background in programming language like Java with strong SQL is preferred.
• Proficiency with reading UNIX logs and executing basic UNIX commands to troubleshoot existing applications.
• Hands on experience with data warehouse Business Intelligence (BI) / Management Information (MI) reporting environment. Knowledge in both client-server and mainframe-based systems and the connectivity/infrastructure requirements to support, design, develop and implement such systems.
Education: • Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of experience
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust. Contract requirement.
