We are looking for an EHR Oracle PathNet Consultant for a long-term position. This is a remote position.
IHS, an agency within the Department of Health and Human Services, is the principal federal health care provider and health advocate for American Indian and Alaska Native (AI/AN) people. Its goal is to raise their health status to the highest possible level through a comprehensive health service delivery system.
Required Skills: Three or more years of relevant healthcare experience in a clinical or business role. Laboratory: Experience working in inpatient and/or ambulatory lab Cerner Labs PathNet General Laboratory Cerner Millennium PathNet Electronic Health Record EHR Software Electronic Health Records (EHR) System Assessment and Implementation Health Information Management Integration Implementation and PMO Support
Preferred skills:
Business analyst/ Oracle Health Solution support
a. Maintain expertise in 1 or more Oracle Health Solutions to support one or more clinical domain groups b. Provide advisement on best practices for the configuration of one or more Oracle Health Solutions
c. Research options for decision-making and prepare decision briefs to support assigned domains
d. Understand clinical and business workflows related to assigned domains and recommend configuration options that align with best practice workflows
e. Evaluate potential configuration decisions/options for impact on system maintenance, regulatory requirements, data integrity, and reporting requirements
f. Collaborate effectively with IHS clinical and business end-users to facilitate efficient decision-making processes
g. Collaborate effectively with System Integrator/EHR Vendor teams to promote alignment to Vendor-defined best practices for system configuration and workflow
h. Participates in special projects as required
Day-to-day responsibilities:
Electronic Health Record (EHR) Analyst with Oracle/Cerner PathNet experience.
Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of the IHS Modernized EHR system by combining program/project management skills with Oracle Health solutions expertise to facilitate successful EHR design and build efforts for assigned IHS clinical and/or business domain groups.
Must have Laboratory experience working in inpatient and/or ambulatory lab
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, equivalent, or higher in Informatics, Computer Science, Public Health, or related clinical/medical/business discipline (recommended)
