Job Description
Centurion is hiring multiple Network Engineer to support one of our clients out of the Germantown, MD area.Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, troubleshoot, and manage routing and switching of Enterprise Customers’ terrestrial networks.
- Ensure the secure transmission of network traffic through network nodes.
- Work on different vendors like Cisco, Fortinet, Meraki, Velcloud, Cradlepoint products to build and manage Customer networks.
- Enable new features in networking devices and implement network systems improvements to enhance network performance and reliability.
- Configure and support Enterprise Customers' routers and switches with networking protocols to ensure seamless communication among network devices.
- Work on Windows and Linux servers to troubleshoot network issues and to analyze network performance.
- Perform firmware upgrades on networking devices for bug fixes and enhancements.
- Use Python Programming Language for config management in cloudify orchestration system and use Python to automate processes.
Requirements:
- MS degree in Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or closely related field and 2-3 years’ experience in Customer Network Engineering, or
- BS degree in Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or closely related field plus 5 years' experience in Customer Network Engineering.
Preferred Qualifications:
- CCNP or Fortinet certification
- Python Programming Language
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience working on data networking protocols and telecommunications.
- Ability to learn and adapt to new products and technologies quickly.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and multitasking skills
