Job Description

Centurion is hiring a Cybersecurity Learning and Development Specialist to support one of our clients. This is a remote position supporting the client in protecting the company from cyber threats. 

This role is responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining effective cybersecurity training programs within the organization. The role focuses on fostering a strong security culture, enhancing employee awareness and integrating training initiatives with learning management systems. This role also provides technical expertise in multiple areas of cybersecurity to include cloud security, endpoint security, access management, secure networking and incident response

Responsibilities include:

  • Creating effective training materials, designing structured learning strategies and assessing outcomes
  • Conducting thorough assessments to identify training gaps and tailor content accordingly
  • Designing and delivering effective onboarding programs to integrate new hires seamlessly
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to address performance issues
  • Ability to facilitate virtual training sessions using platforms like Microsoft Teams
  • Design, develop and implement security controls to protect information systems, enterprise applications and data
  • Optimize processes/tooling and automate recurring tasks
  • Analyze, troubleshoot and investigate security-related, IT system anomalies based on security platform reporting, network traffic, log files and host-based / automated security alerts
  • Participate in Security Operations Center (SOC) activities, e.g. respond to critical security incidents
  • Provide off-hours support on an infrequent, but as needed basis
  • Create and maintain relevant system and process documentation
  • Keep up-to-date with current cybercrime tactics and trends

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field plus five years of relevant experience
  • CompTIA Security+ or similar cybersecurity certifications
  • Experience in Cybersecurity training
  • Familiarity with LMS platforms, including understanding SCORM compliance and managing training content
  • Sensitivity to cultural differences and the ability to create inclusive training content
  • Microsoft Azure experience
  • Incident Management and Threat Hunting experience
  • Effective time management and communication skills
  • Self-starter with desire for professional excellence, able to work with minimal supervision
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Able to prioritize and adapt to dynamic changes in the environment
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
