6-month Contract to Hire
Wage: $22-24 an hour

Capstone IT is partnering with an industry-leading organization on a large-scale network modernization initiative supporting hundreds of retail locations nationwide.

If you've worked in Help Desk, Desktop Support, Service Desk, Technical Support, or a NOC, and you're looking to grow your networking skills, this is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on enterprise networking experience while working alongside experienced network engineers.

You don't need years of networking experience. Candidates with networking coursework, certifications (Network+, CCNA, Fortinet), or a strong interest in networking are encouraged to apply.

This overnight role supports network deployments while stores are closed. If you enjoy working evenings or prefer a quieter work environment, this schedule may be a great fit.

What You'll Do

  • Support overnight network deployment projects across the U.S.
  • Take inbound calls from field technicians after equipment installations
  • Validate newly installed network equipment using established procedures
  • Verify connectivity for switches, routers, wireless access points, VoIP devices, and other network equipment
  • Document work in Jira Service Desk
  • Escalate issues to senior engineers when needed
  • Help ensure stores are fully operational before opening each morning

What We're Looking For

Required

  • Experience in Help Desk, Desktop Support, Service Desk, Technical Support, NOC, Call Center, or another IT support environment
  • Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
  • Ability to follow technical procedures and document work accurately
  • Comfortable working overnight hours
  • Eagerness to learn and grow in a networking career

Nice to Have (Not Required)

  • Basic TCP/IP networking knowledge
  • Exposure to switches, routers, wireless networking, or firewalls
  • CompTIA Network+, CCNA, Fortinet, or similar certifications
  • Experience with Jira or another ticketing system
  • Retail technology support experience
