Senior .NET/GIS Developer

Terms: 6 month contract

Location: Onsite; Omaha, Nebraska

Capstone IT is helping our client to hire a Senior .NET/GIS Software Developer to develop and support enterprise GIS and web applications using Microsoft .NET, ESRI ArcGIS, SQL Server, and modern front-end technologies. This role will work closely with GIS analysts, developers, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable mapping solutions and enhance existing applications.

The ideal candidate has strong full-stack development experience, enterprise GIS expertise, and experience working in an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support enterprise GIS and web applications using C#, .NET, ASP.NET, SQL Server, and the ESRI ArcGIS platform.
• Develop interactive web applications using React, TypeScript, Vite, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, including dashboards and data visualizations with React Recharts and D3.js.
• Develop and integrate ArcGIS Maps SDK for JavaScript, ArcGIS REST Services, REST APIs, and SOAP web services.
• Design, develop, and optimize SQL Server databases, SQL queries, stored procedures, and other database objects.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application, database, GIS, and performance issues while supporting production environments.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, code reviews, testing, and release activities.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, GIS analysts, and development teams to deliver technical solutions.

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience developing applications using C#, .NET, ASP.NET, VB.NET, and Microsoft Visual Studio.
• 8+ years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server or another relational database, including SQL development and stored procedures.
• 5+ years of experience developing applications using the ESRI ArcGIS Enterprise platform, including ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Maps SDK for JavaScript, ArcGIS Desktop, ArcSDE (Geodatabase), ArcGIS REST Services, and Python.
• 5+ years of experience developing modern web applications using React, TypeScript, JavaScript, Vite, HTML, and CSS.
• 5+ years of experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Demonstrated experience with UWP/MVVM, Xamarin, or Angular JS is a plus.
• Experience designing and integrating REST and SOAP web services.
• Experience troubleshooting and resolving application, database, and performance issues.
• Experience with automated testing tools such as Vitest or Playwright.
• Experience with Git and Azure DevOps.
