Senior AWS/Amazon Connect Developer

Location:  Remote, United States

Terms: 6-Month Contract-to-Hire

Note: Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future- per end client requirements. No C2C or third-party vendors.

Capstone IT is helping our client to hire a Senior AWS/Amazon Connect Developer to design and develop cloud-based contact center solutions using Amazon Connect and AWS serverless technologies. This role will focus on call routing, API development, serverless applications, and front-end integrations while partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain Amazon Connect call flows and routing solutions.
• Develop secure REST APIs and integrations.
• Build serverless applications using AWS services.
• Develop Vue.js/Nuxt.js front-end components and integrations.
• Implement automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud best practices.
• Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with engineering and business teams to deliver solutions.

Required Technical Skills

• Amazon Connect (2+ years of experience)
• AWS Lambda, CDK, DynamoDB, S3 (3+ years of experience)
• Node.js and TypeScript
• REST API development and integration
• Vue.js and/or Nuxt.js
• Automated unit and integration testing
• CI/CD pipelines
• CloudWatch, X-Ray, EventBridge, Step Functions

• IAM and AWS security best practices
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

Preferred Skills

• Contact center analytics, workforce management, or quality monitoring experience
• Agile/Scrum experience using Jira and Confluence

Ideal Candidate

• 7+ years of overall software engineering experience
• 3–5+ years of AWS serverless development (Lambda, CDK, DynamoDB, S3)
• 2–4+ years of Amazon Connect call flow development and integrations
• Experience designing and supporting production contact center solutions

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or similar field of study
