Duration: 6 month contract to hire
Wage: Based on experience

Capstone IT is helping our client find an Amazon Connect/ Full Stack Engineer who will design and deliver Amazon Connect call flows, serverless APIs, and modern front-end experiences. This person will spend their day building and enhancing Amazon Connect routing, developing Node.js/TypeScript serverless services on AWS, integrating REST APIs, and guiding technical delivery across a small engineering team. The role blends hands-on development with technical leadership and ownership of quality, reliability, and delivery.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain Amazon Connect call flows and routing logic
• Develop secure, scalable REST APIs supporting omnichannel contact center experiences
• Build and maintain AWS serverless services using Lambda, CDK, S3, and DynamoDB
• Develop front-end components in Vue.js / Nuxt.js that integrate with serverless APIs
• Lead technical delivery, set direction, and ensure solutions meet quality standards
• Implement automated unit and integration tests and CI/CD pipelines
• Embed security, observability, and operational best practices
• Mentor engineers, review code and designs, and collaborate across teams
• Document architectures, APIs, and operational processes

Qualifications

Required:

• Strong experience with Amazon Connect and call routing
• Hands-on AWS serverless development using Node.js/TypeScript
• Experience with AWS CDK, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB
• API development and system integration experience
• Experience leading technical delivery or acting as a solution lead

Nice to Have:

• Contact center analytics, workforce management, or quality monitoring exposure
• CloudWatch, X-Ray, Step Functions, EventBridge, KMS, IAM (least-privilege)
• Infrastructure-as-Code and platform engineering practices
• Agile experience using JIRA and Confluence
