We are seeking a Google Cloud Engineer to work with a small team to design and manage cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and drive our cloud adoption strategy. The role involves building CI/CD pipelines and creating scalable, secure GCP environments to support our applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deploy GCP-based solutions using services like Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, and Cloud Run.
• Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines using tools like Cloud Build, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.
• Lead setup and migration efforts for GCP adoption, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
• Automate infrastructure with Terraform or Deployment Manager.
• Monitor and optimize cloud performance and costs using GCP tools like Cloud Monitoring.
• Collaborate with teams to troubleshoot issues and integrate cloud solutions.
• Document processes and configurations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 10+ years of IT experience, inclusive of 5+ years of GCP experience and 8+ years in cloud engineering.
• Proven expertise in building CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Cloud Build, Jenkins).
• Experience leading GCP adoption or migration projects.
• Proficiency with Terraform, Kubernetes, and scripting (Python, Bash).
• Strong understanding of networking and security in GCP.
• Google Cloud Certification (e.g., Professional Cloud Architect) is a plus.
