Location: Omaha, NE

Employment Type: Direct Placement (Full-Time Employee)

Compensation: $90,000 - $120,000, Based on Experience

Work Environment: Onsite

Relocation Assistance: Available, including a sign-on bonus

Capstone IT is seeking an Actuarial Associate for a direct-hire, onsite position in Omaha, NE, to join our client's team. This pivotal role involves leading pricing strategies, managing risk, and developing solutions that enhance the performance of a growing product line. Responsibilities include initiating, organizing, directing, and analyzing actuarial work. You will develop actuarial assumptions and oversee the development, maintenance, and implementation of product pricing, profit studies, reserves, rate filings, and related procedures. The ideal candidate will have the ability to compile and evaluate statistical data, demonstrate an advanced understanding of actuarial concepts and insurance knowledge, manage multiple projects, exhibit strong proficiency in Excel for complex mathematical modeling, and possess excellent communication skills for conveying complex data clearly and concisely.

Job Requirements:

• Initiate, organize, direct, and analyze actuarial work.
• Develop actuarial assumptions and maintain product pricing, profit studies, reserves, rate filings, and related procedures.
• Compile and evaluate statistical data, applying advanced actuarial concepts and insurance knowledge.
• Collaborate with various departments to enhance product performance and manage risk effectively.
• Present voluminous data in a concise, understandable format.
• Prepare basic financial and statistical reports.
• Build, maintain, and upgrade financial models utilizing complex actuarial concepts.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science or a related discipline.
• Completion of ASA is required.
• Expert-level proficiency in Excel for Mathematical Modeling and Statistical Analysis.
• Ability to perform several projects while maintaining strict deadlines.
• Medicare Supplement pricing experience.
• Experience with running SQL queries.
• Insurance industry experience.
• Experience with ALFA.
