Job Description

Lead Software Developer 

Location: Remote, United States

Terms: 6-month C2H; with possible direct hire opportunity

Pay Range: $125K-$140K/yr.; $65-$75/hr. on W-2; wage depends on experience


Capstone IT is helping our client to hire a full stack Lead Software Developer. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about creating awesome experiences for their customers as well as their internal team. This person will also be flexible, proactive, and solution focused and will continually strive to challenge themselves to produce high quality applications and services. This position will be responsible for leading a team of Senior Developers to ensure consistency and efficiency across a suite of applications.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with customers to understand their needs and convey those
  • needs to other team members in an understandable fashion
  • Design and write functional, maintainable code
  • Assist in building technical roadmap for company products
  • Be a resource to your team and organization as a subject matter expert
  • Provide technical and professional mentorship to your teammates
  • Work with Product Owners and Scrum Masters to help determine priority and

assess timelines

  • Work with UX Designers to create engaging software experiences
  • Be a committed agile teammate who guides the team to reach their goals
  • Participate in all agile ceremonies, including planning, pointing, demos,

and retros

  • Enforce industry and company best practices within your team
  • Prioritize unit tests, both manual and automated, to ensure the highest code


  • Responsible for timely and thorough code reviews
  • Responsible for documenting all programs to the required company standard
  • Continually learn and stay up to date with the ever-changing technical


  • Mentor other team members on new technologies and practices
  • Work with external vendors to ensure deliverables meet company needs and


  • Own the delivery pipeline, preferably using CI/CD best practices
  • Participate in architectural design decisions and communicate those to your


Job Qualifications:

  • 7-10 year of progressive development experience in a .NET/C# environment
  • Proven leadership of 6-10 developers and team members
  • Front end experience to include JavaScript, HTML, CSS and ReactJS (required)
  • Microservices and API Development; Postman for testing
  • Cloud-based architecture experience with Azure
  • Experience designing relational databases or other data storage methods
  • Familiar with all stages of the SDLC, DevOps practices, and Git/GitHub


  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or related field
  • Familiarity with other Microsoft products and services including SharePoint and Microsoft Dynamics CRM
