Job Description

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Schedule & dispatch driver pickup from customer locations.
• Main point of contact for the drivers while successfully balancing the customer's requirements.
• Assist in achieving the objectives of pick-up and drop-off (P&D) operations, such as % on-time delivery, stops per hours.
• Accurately managing time and performance of deliveries and contact with drivers throughout the day.
• Plan the P&D activities and staffing required to meet the objectives (and advising Driver Trainer of the similar requirements).
• Ensure drivers are aware of all/any unusual delivery/pickup requirements and update TMS System (Truck Mate).
• Ensure drivers are made aware of all appointment deliveries, cash collects and C.O.D.’s.
• Prioritize and assign pickups to drivers to ensure maximum efficiency.
• To be familiar with all P&D routes and any problem areas.
• Ensure all appointment freight is brought to the attention of the AM Dock Supervisor and is loaded in a way to ensure on time delivery
• To assist drivers in resolving any conflicts in a professional manner
• To ensure all updates in Truck Mate System are done in real time for statuses of all trucks and trailers.

• Minimum 3 years' experience in LTL (Less than Truckload) Dispatching, with city/local transport.
• Minimum 3 years' experience required in logistics/transportation industry.
• Solid judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Working knowledge in software applications such as Word, Excel, and Truck mate. What did you get?
