Job Purpose/Summary:

Responsibilities:
With minor supervision provide maintenance support to ensure the safe and effective operation of equipment and team.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to performing routine preventative maintenance repairs, performing emergency mechanical or electrical repairs, and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic Plant equipment.
Must be able to safely apply knowledge and troubleshooting skills to all assigned production equipment and the ability to effectively interact with all plant personnel to accomplish plant and individual goals.
Must be able to read and interpret blue prints, schematics, and maintenance instructions/procedure manuals; must be able to work with pumps, hydraulics, and welding.
Basic understanding of electrical theory and system wiring and installation.
Also responsible for minimizing downtime due to equipment failure. Requirements:
Education: 1 year of maintenance experience education preferred (I.E. possess industrial maintenance diploma or currently enrolled in technical school) in lieu of experience
Experience: 1(+) years of industrial maintenance experience or equivalent experience; must have experience in hydraulics, welding, and compressed air systems
Computer Skills: Basic computer skills will be necessary to log information, process daily work orders, and complete required documentation. Ability to learn and utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
Communication Skills: The ability to communicate effectively and basic math skills are necessary to perform this job at a satisfactorily level Special Skills:
Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 75 lbs. occasionally; ability to lift 20 lbs. frequently
Ability to stand on hard surfaces for up to 12 hours per day
Ability to work in confined and tall spaces, walk, climb, utilize a ladder, operate a lift, bend and stoop
Repetitive gripping, pushing, and pulling
Frequent overhead work
Temperatures inside the plant may vary from -25 degrees to over 100 degrees; outside work may be also be needed
Basic math skills; percentages, fractions, and measurements
Schedule: Rotating nights. Shifts are 5:00pm – 5:00am. 3 days on, 3 days off, 2 days on, and 2 days off. Some Sunday work is required based on reworks.
What are the 3-4 non-negotiable requirements of this position? 2-3 years industrial mechanic experience and/or graduate of industrial maintenance program, ability to work in fast paced environment. Experience with hydraulics, welding, compressed air systems, able to read and interpret blue prints, schematics.
What are the nice-to-have skills? Ability to inspect equipment, recognize potential problems and independently take appropriate corrective action to prevent component failures or equipment down time, understand how to prioritize tickets and day Describe how this position fits in your organization.
This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to policies and procedures.
Is there additional variable compensation?
UP TO $5,000 sign on bonus
After hire, team members are able to test into higher level positions $1 night shift premium
  12 Hours Rotating Shift, 3 days on and 3 days off, 5am to 5pm, and then 2 days on and 2 days off. Payrate: $25-30/Hour. Night Shift premium $1, and a $5K bonus payable in segments.
