Job Description
Capital Staffing Solutions is looking for ongoing Loaders! As a Garbage/Recycling Truck Loader/Helper you are responsible for collecting and sorting recyclable materials from curb-side containers, bins, and other designated locations. You assist the driver in loading and unloading the truck, and also ensure that the materials are sorted properly and disposed of in an environmentally friendly manner.
Some specific duties of a Garbage/Recycle Truck Loader/Helper may include:
- Riding on the back of the truck and jumping off at each stop to collect curbside containers
- Assisting the driver in navigating the truck through residential neighborhoods or commercial areas
- Operating a hydraulic lift to dump recyclables into the truck's hopper
- Ensuring that all materials are properly secured and loaded onto the truck for transportation
- Performing routine maintenance tasks on the truck, such as checking fluid levels and inspecting tires
In addition to physical stamina and the ability to work in all types of weather conditions, a Recycling Truck Loader/Helper should have good communication skills and be able to work well in a team environment. They should also be able to follow safety protocols and have a basic understanding of recycling and environmental issues.

Work Hours:
- Full-time opportunity
- Monday Friday
- Start time: 6:00 am
- Average 10/12 hours a day
Location: Markham, ON
Requirements:
- General Labour experience (preferred)
- Must be physically fit and able to lift up to 50lbs
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
- Required to make 800+ residential stops per day based on your route
- Must have steel-toed work boots above the ankle and a high visibility vest
- Must be available to work full-time, Monday-Friday, 10/12 hour days
