Location

Must be based in San Diego or Orange County, CA. Can be called into our San Diego office at managers discretion. This is a hybrid position, requiring you to work onsite at customer locations in Southern California area at least 1-2 days per week.

What You'll Do

As our Network Architect, you’ll play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and optimizing network infrastructure for our clients. You’ll also support our sales team by contributing technical expertise to proposals and presentations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect and deploy secure, scalable network solutions (LAN/WAN, wireless, VPN, firewalls)
  • Collaborate with clients to assess needs and deliver tailored solutions
  • Provide technical leadership during pre-sales engagements
  • Troubleshoot complex network issues and ensure optimal performance
  • Stay ahead of emerging technologies and best practices
  • Acting as a technical mentor to junior engineers
  • Utilize AI-powered knowledge bases and partner platforms to perform rapid competitive analysis and stay current on product roadmaps and feature releases.

What You Bring

  • 7+ years of hands-on experience in network engineering
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Proficiency turning the output from generative AI tools (e.g., Copilot), into relevant client-facing presentations to streamline the communication of complex architectural concepts.
  • Certifications: CCNP, JNCIP, CMSS, PCNSE, ANCP, or equivalent
  • Expertise in routing protocols, scripting (Python), and network monitoring
  • Familiarity with a variety of network technologies, such as Cisco, Juniper, Meraki, Palo Alto Networks, and HPE/Aruba technologies
  • Strong communication and client-facing skills
  • Demonstrated ability to use Generative AI to accelerate the drafting of Statements of Work (SOWs), technical proposals, and solution comparison documents.

What Success Looks Like: Your First 3 Months

  • First 30 Days: Take ownership of the existing customer Network Architecture backlog and present an optimized 90-day execution plan to leadership. Conduct a comprehensive audit for a customer's core network and publish findings with a clear, prioritized list of high-impact, short-term improvements.
  • First 60 Days: Complete technical design sessions with PMs and AMs. Successfully translate complex network proposals into customer-ready language that demonstrably equips Account Managers. Design and implement a solution for one project, using techniques that reduce manual configuration time.
  • First 90 Days: Receive direct, unsolicited invitations to customer scoping meetings and be allocated to new projects.

Compensation

  • Compensation Range: $185,000 – $205,000
  • The above represents the expected compensation range for this job requisition. Ultimately, in determining pay, we’ll consider location, experience, and other job-related factors.
