Experience

• Previous dealership experience is highly preferred, with a solid understanding of dealership computer software
• Proven track record in auto service advising or related roles within automotive repair shops or dealerships.
• Hands-on mechanic experience or automotive diagnostics knowledge is advantageous.
• Familiarity with auto estimating software, service writing procedures, and automotive repair processes.
• Experience in upselling services while maintaining high customer satisfaction standards.
• Excellent communication skills combined with a customer-focused approach.
• Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and listen attentively to understand their vehicle concerns and service needs.
• Interact with technicians and communicate findings clearly to customers.
• Prepare detailed service estimates using auto estimating software, including parts, labor, and additional repairs.
• Recommend appropriate services such as oil changes, brake repairs, tire services, alignments, suspension work, transmission repairs, diesel engine repairs, shocks & struts, air brake systems, and auto body repairs.
• Upsell additional maintenance or repair services that enhance vehicle performance and safety.
• Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs and ensure timely completion of services.
• Maintain accurate service writing records and update customers on progress throughout the repair process.
• Handle cash transactions professionally and ensure proper documentation of all financial exchanges.
• Stay informed about the latest automotive diagnostics techniques and repair procedures.
