Senior .NET Developer

Location: Warren, NJ — Hybrid
Employment Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire
Salary: $140K- $160K

About the Opportunity

ComputerPeople Staffing is recruiting on behalf of a stable, global organization seeking an experienced Senior .NET Developer to join its technology team.

In this role, you’ll play a key part in the design, development, and maintenance of robust .NET applications supporting the maritime and logistics industry. You’ll create technical specifications and architectural designs, develop clean and testable code, and help ensure applications deliver optimal performance and reliability.

This position also offers the opportunity to provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers while serving as a point of escalation for application architecture matters.

This is a hybrid position based in Warren, New Jersey. Candidates must be able to reliably commute to the Warren office as required.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain high-quality .NET applications.
• Analyze system requirements and prioritize development tasks across multiple complex projects.
• Create technical specifications and contribute to application architecture and design.
• Write clean, maintainable, scalable, and testable code using .NET programming languages.
• Review, test, debug, and refactor existing applications to improve performance and reliability.
• Ensure compliance with established coding standards, technical designs, and development best practices.
• Serve as a point of escalation for application architecture and other complex technical matters.
• Develop and maintain operational and technical documentation.
• Mentor and support junior developers while promoting consistent development standards.
• Collaborate effectively with developers and other stakeholders in a team-oriented environment.
• Remain current with relevant technologies, software development patterns, project management methodologies, and maritime and logistics industry trends.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Strong professional experience developing applications using the .NET Framework, .NET Core, and C#.
• Advanced experience developing Windows desktop applications using WinForms.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented design, multithreading, dependency injection, and asynchronous development.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure technologies, including Key Vault, Blob Storage, and Microsoft Graph API.
• Expert-level SQL development skills, including T-SQL, database schemas, and performance tuning.
• Experience with both Entity Framework and Entity Framework Core.
• Experience developing and integrating REST APIs and web services.
• Strong understanding of modern software design and development methodologies and patterns.
• Ability to manage multiple complex projects and competing priorities simultaneously.
• Ability to provide technical leadership and guidance on architecture-related activities.
• Commitment to remaining current with relevant technologies and development practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with C++ and/or Microsoft Foundation Classes (MFC).
• Experience with HTML5, JavaScript, jQuery, or JQWidgets.
• Experience with TypeScript and Angular.
