Key Responsibilities

• Manage cases through all phases of litigation, from inception through resolution
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery responses
• Handle depositions, mediations, arbitrations, hearings, and court appearances
• Develop case strategy in collaboration with partners and clients
• Prepare witnesses and experts for testimony
• Participate in settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution proceedings
• Communicate regularly with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and insurance representatives
• Maintain accurate and timely case documentation and billing records
• Stay current on legal developments impacting clients and practice areas

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
• Licensed to practice law in New York State and in good standing
• Prior litigation experience preferred; experience in insurance defense, plaintiff litigation, or related practice areas will be considered
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
• Excellent oral advocacy and communication abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and sound professional judgment
• Collaborative mindset with a desire to learn and grow
