A well-established and growing law firm is seeking a highly organized Legal Assistant/Paralegal to join its collaborative Corporate Services team. This position is open due to continued growth and offers the opportunity to work closely with experienced attorneys and professionals in a supportive, team-oriented environment. The ideal candidate will have prior experience supporting a transactional legal practice, with exposure to corporate matters, commercial real estate transactions, and Industrial Development Agency (IDA) projects.
Responsibilities
- Provide legal and administrative support to attorneys within the Corporate Services practice group
- Prepare, edit, proofread, and finalize a variety of transactional documents and correspondence
- Assist with commercial real estate transactions, including due diligence, closing checklists, and document management
- Support IDA projects and related filings
- Coordinate document execution, signatures, and closing logistics
- Maintain electronic and physical files and organize transaction records
- Manage attorney calendars, deadlines, and critical dates
- Communicate with clients, lenders, title companies, government agencies, and other outside parties
- Create and maintain spreadsheets, reports, and tracking documents using Microsoft Excel
- Format complex documents and templates using Microsoft Word
- Assist with special projects and provide general support to the Corporate Services team as needed Qualifications
- Prior experience as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal within a transactional or corporate legal department required
- Experience supporting commercial real estate transactions and/or IDA projects strongly preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, including advanced document formatting and spreadsheet management
- Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Professional demeanor with a client-service mindset
