A well-established, mid-sized law firm on Long Island is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney to join its growing team. This opportunity offers exposure to sophisticated matters, strong mentorship, and a collaborative environment that supports professional growth. Our client is seeking attorneys with 1–5 years of litigation experience who are looking to expand their practice in a dynamic setting. Candidates with either defense or plaintiff-side experience are encouraged to apply, as transferable litigation skills are highly valued.

Compensation:

• 1–5 years of experience: $100,000–$125,000
• Approximately 5 years of experience: $130,000–$150,000
• Bonus opportunities and comprehensive benefits package

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage litigation matters through all phases of the case lifecycle
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, and legal memoranda
• Conduct legal research and case analysis
• Participate in depositions, court appearances, mediations, and settlement negotiations
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and internal teams
• Develop case strategy and support trial preparation

Qualifications:

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Licensed to practice law in New York and in good standing
• 1–5 years of litigation experience
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities
• Experience gained on either the plaintiff or defense side will be considered
