Job Description

Part-Time Contract / ~10 hours/week 

We are recruiting for a part-time Infor Visual ERP Subject Matter Expert for an ongoing retainer engagement (approximately 10 hours/week). This is a long-term support arrangement, not a project with a defined end date.  Think less "consultant" and more "the person who always knew how the system worked" — someone end users can call when they're stuck and developers can lean on when they need context.  Someone to help with day-to-day system questions, module guidance, reporting and light technical assistance.

This client has been on Infor Visual for 6+ years and is no longer supported by their original implementation partner. Their internal team is small, with limited dedicated ERP resources, and they are building a sustainable support model that pairs your expertise with their internal developers. The focus is on knowledge transfer, best practices, and day-to-day usability including troubleshooting what's not working well — not new implementations or system overhauls.

What You'll Do

As their go-to Infor Visual expert, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Answer day-to-day questions from end users across manufacturing, financials, and planning modules
• Share best practices on how the system is meant to be used — based on how it's already set up, not how it could be rebuilt
• Help internal developers understand data structures and module logic when they're writing reports or investigating data issues
• Provide light hands-on support with report writing and data fixes when needed
• Be a steady, reliable presence the team can count on — not a parachute-in project resource

What This Role Is Not

To set clear expectations, this engagement does not involve:

• System customizations or new module implementations
• Backend development beyond occasional report writing and data fixes
• Major configuration changes or upgrades
• Full-time or high-volume availability — this is a light, consistent retainer

Ideal Candidate Profile

• You were the Infor Visual super user or system admin at a manufacturing company — the person everyone came to with questions
• Have deep, practical knowledge of Infor Visual v10.0 across multiple modules (manufacturing, financials, planning)
• Are comfortable explaining how the system works to both non-technical end users and developers
• Have experience pulling reports or working through data issues — you don't need to be a developer, but you know your way around the data
• Are patient, communicative, and genuinely enjoy helping teams get more out of a system they already have

Engagement Details

This is a retainer-style contract — approximately 10 hours per week — with the expectation of consistent availability rather than project-based sprints. The client is looking for someone they can rely on for weekly availability for the forseeable future.
