The Opportunity

In an effort to consolidate disparate systems and improve product development and manufacturing processes, the IT Project Manager will have project oversight for a multi-year, global implementation of MS Dynamics 365 ERP and a new PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) system.     The project will be kicking off soon so ideal candidate will be able to start within the next 30 days.  Will work closely with the IT Director and senior stakeholders across all major business functions to standardize and optimize business processes across global operations.  

Project Leadership & Strategy

  • Lead end-to-end implementation of MS Dynamics 365 and PLM solution across multiple US and international offices
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies
  • Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with stakeholders
  • Drive overall project execution while managing dependencies between Dynamics 365 and PLM implementations
  • Facilitate executive steering committee meetings and provide regular status updates to senior leadership
  • Manage vendor relationships, including implementation partnership and ongoing governance
  • Travel required (primarily US based)

Project Administration & Coordination

  • Utilize MS Project to create detailed project schedules, track progress, and manage critical path activities
  • Implement project governance frameworks using MS Planner and MS Lists for task management and tracking
  • Establish and maintain project documentation repositories in SharePoint
  • Coordinate with IT, business units, vendors, and implementation partners across multiple time zones
  • Manage project budgets, resource allocation, and vendor relationships
  • Conduct regular project status meetings and maintain comprehensive project reporting

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure solution alignment with business objectives
  • Coordinate with IT teams on technical architecture, data migration, and system integration activities
  • Facilitate user acceptance testing and coordinate training programs across all locations
  • Manage change management activities to ensure successful user adoption
  • Serve as primary point of contact between internal teams and external implementation partners

Risk Management & Quality Assurance

  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues across all implementation sites
  • Develop contingency plans for critical project components
  • Ensure compliance with corporate standards, security requirements, and regulatory obligations
  • Conduct quality reviews and ensure deliverables meet established acceptance criteria
  • Manage escalation processes and resolve cross-functional conflicts

Technology Platform Management

  • Leverage Power Platform capabilities to create custom dashboards and reporting solutions
  • Implement workflow automation to streamline project processes
  • Ensure proper integration between MS Dynamics 365, PLM solution, and existing enterprise systems
  • Coordinate data migration activities and validate data integrity across platforms

Required Qualifications

Experience & Background

  • Minimum 7+ years of project management experience with complex enterprise software implementations in manufacturing industry
  • Proven experience managing MS Dynamics 365 or similar ERP implementations (minimum 1 full lifecycle projects)
  • Track record of managing multi-site, international projects with distributed teams
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft project management tools (MS Project, MS Planner, MS Lists, Sharepoint, Power Platform, etc.)
  • Preferably prior experience working in a highly regulated industry with compliance requirements (SOX, CGG, FedRAMP, etc.)
  • Ability to travel nationally and occasionally internationally for key project phases (go-live, UAT, etc.).  Must be able to accommodate travel as frequently as once per month during important project phases.
