About the Job:

As part of a small team, the IT Systems & Security Administrator will be responsible for server administration for Linux (90%) and Windows / M365 (10%) and will also play a key role in cybersecurity administration. This  is a newly created role to address their growing technology demands and their desire to elevate network and cybersecurity best practices.  If you have a strong background in Linux Administration and a passion for helping companies secure their network and prevent Cyber Security breaches, this is the job for you!

You'll implement protective measures that shield this organization from cyber threats. When alerts sound from their 24/7 Security Operations Center, you'll be the first responder—analyzing the situation, determining if they're under attack, and executing the defense strategy.

Your daily routine will include vital check-ups on Linux, Windows and cybersecurity systems, preventing issues before they arise. You'll safeguard data through meticulous backup procedures using Veeam technology.

Requirements:

• 2+ years working in an Enterprise Linux infrastructure (ie. Debian, Ubuntu, RedHat etc.)
• 2+ years working in networking including, firewalls, routing, access points, switches, VPNs
• Exposure to Microsoft 365 environments 
• Experience with virtualization and storage infrastructure
• Experience with security concepts, tools, and implementing best practices
• Knowledge of PowerShell and Bash scripting
• Experience with on-prem and cloud storage infrastructures
• Ability to document processes  -  understand the importance of documentation and  willing to do it.
