As part of the BI team, the BI Developer is a SQL & Data Integration Specialist. You'll play a key role in optimizing applications, ensuring data integrity, and enhancing system performance. You will manage large, complex datasets, integrations, and Microsoft Power BI to help the business reach their reporting and analytics goals. This is an exciting opportunity to leverage your SQL expertise, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive meaningful improvements in business processes.
Master the Data – Gain in-depth knowledge of company's SQL database structure, relationships, and business applications to provide expert-level data analysis and maintain data integrity.
Maintain, Enhance & Customize Reports & Dashboards – Design and implement enhancements, customizations, and integrations based on business needs, working closely with management and key stakeholders.
Hands-On Development & Testing – Utilize Microsoft SQL Server tools (SSRS, SSIS) to build and maintain stored procedures, triggers, ETL processes, and data models. Perform rigorous quality assurance and regression testing before deployment.
System Support & Optimization – Monitor integration and automation performance, troubleshoot issues, and recommend improvements to optimize system efficiency. Provide second-level support for integrations and escalate critical issues when necessary.
Project Management & Collaboration – Lead and contribute to internal and external projects, managing tasks, tracking progress, and ensuring accurate documentation. Partner with management and business teams to evaluate and refine system requirements.
Documentation & Best Practices – Maintain comprehensive records, document workflows, methodologies, and assumptions to support ongoing development and operational efficiency.
✔ SQL Expertise – Strong experience creating large, complex data sets / schemas with T-SQL development, including stored procedures, triggers, and ETL processes.
✔ Microsoft SQL Server Proficiency – Hands-on experience with SQL Server 2016+ and its suite of development tools (SSRS, SSAS, SSIS, SSIS Catalog).
✔ Integration & System Management – Knowledge of SQL Server security, performance monitoring, and management tools. Experience designing and supporting system integrations.
✔ Technical Problem-Solving – Skilled at troubleshooting system issues, performing root-cause analysis, and optimizing performance.
✔ Project Management Skills – Ability to manage projects, track progress, and collaborate effectively with internal teams and external vendors.
