Job Description
Job Title: Quality Assurance Technician
Location: St. Louis, MO
Schedule: Full-Time | On-Site
Type: Temp-to-Hire
Compensation: Competitive Hourly Pay + Benefits

CPAY Staffing & Recruiting is partnering with a growing food manufacturing operation seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Assurance Technician to join their team. This is a hands-on production floor role ideal for someone who takes pride in food safety, quality standards, and helping operations run smoothly and compliantly.

If you enjoy being active throughout the day, solving problems in real time, and helping maintain high standards in a fast-paced production environment, this could be a strong fit. Because apparently food facilities prefer “safe and compliant” over “mystery casserole roulette.” Strange priority, honestly.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Monitor food safety and quality standards throughout the production facility
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures along with local, state, and federal regulations
  • Support and maintain QA programs, documentation, logs, and compliance records
  • Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly audits to verify ongoing compliance
  • Train and support production associates on food safety, sanitation, and quality procedures
  • Identify non-compliance issues and assist with corrective and preventive actions
  • Communicate findings, concerns, and improvement recommendations to leadership
  • Maintain a strong presence on the production floor, spending most of the shift actively observing operations and supporting teams
  • Verify quality and food safety checklists, records, and documentation accuracy
  • Assist with continuous improvement initiatives related to quality and sanitation standards

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a food production or manufacturing environment preferred
  • Associate’s degree or higher in a related science field is a plus
  • Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, and quality standards
  • Comfortable working in refrigerated, frozen, hot, and humid production environments
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Solid computer skills with the ability to learn internal systems and programs quickly
  • Ability to communicate effectively with production teams and leadership
  • Flexible and willing to jump in where needed to support operations
  • Reliable, proactive, and team-oriented mindset

Why People Like This Opportunity

  • Weekly pay
  • Health, dental, vision, and retirement benefit options
  • Paid time off including vacation and sick time
  • Long-term growth and advancement opportunities
  • Supportive team environment with hands-on leadership
  • Opportunity to work with a stable and growing food manufacturing operation
  • Employee wellness and assistance programs
  • Recognition programs and opportunities for professional development
