We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Recycling Line Manager to oversee day-to-day operations of our recycling line team. The manager will lead and support operators to ensure production goals are met, safety standards are upheld, and equipment runs efficiently. This role requires a balance of people leadership, process oversight, and operational problem-solving to maintain a safe, productive, and high-performing work environment.
Supervise Recycling Line Operators and ensure all production tasks are completed accurately, safely, and on time.
Train, coach, and mentor operators on equipment use, safety practices, and production standards.
Monitor machine performance and partner with maintenance when issues arise.
Coordinate work schedules, assign daily tasks, and track attendance/performance.
Oversee forklift and equipment operation compliance; ensure all team members are certified and following protocols.
Maintain accurate production documentation, output reports, and quality control checks.
Collaborate with plant leadership to improve workflow efficiency and reduce downtime.
Enforce plant safety and cleanliness standards in line with company and OSHA requirements.
Support hiring, onboarding, and performance evaluations for team members.
Serve as the point of contact between operators, maintenance, and senior management.
Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by plant leadership.
2+ years of supervisory or lead experience in manufacturing, production, or recycling operations.
Strong leadership and team-building skills with the ability to coach and motivate employees.
Working knowledge of forklift operations, plant equipment, and production machinery.
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
Basic computer skills for documenting production output and reporting.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Commitment to workplace safety and compliance.
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and perform moderate physical tasks.
Must be able to work in varying plant conditions (hot, cold, noisy, dusty).
Ability to stand, walk, and move for 12-hour shifts as needed.
