CPAY Staffing & Recruiting is seeking a skilled and dependable Fabrication Trimmer for a growing manufacturing company specializing in high quality architectural panels used in residential and commercial projects throughout the country.
This is a hands on production role ideal for someone with carpentry experience who is comfortable using hand routers, reading measurements, and working with shop tools.
The Fabrication Trimmer will primarily be responsible for trimming excess material from manufactured panels and routing lap joints using variable speed hand routers. This position requires attention to detail, strong pattern recognition, accuracy, and the ability to work independently in a fast paced production environment.
Trim excess flange material from manufactured panels using variable speed hand routers
Route lap joints into panels according to product specifications
Adjust router depth appropriately based on product requirements
Read tape measures and accurately measure and cut materials
Follow construction plans, patterns, and production specifications
Safely operate fixed base and compact variable speed hand routers
Perform general production and fabrication duties as needed
Lift, move, and handle large production panels weighing up to 50 pounds
Inspect work for accuracy and quality
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe production area
Work independently while meeting production and quality expectations
Minimum of 1 year of carpentry or related fabrication experience
Experience using fixed base and compact variable speed hand routers
Ability to accurately read a tape measure
Ability to read and understand construction plans and specifications
Strong attention to detail and pattern recognition skills
Basic math skills
Basic computer skills
Comfortable using a variety of hand and shop tools
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds throughout the workday
Comfortable working in a hands on manufacturing environment where dust and production debris may be present
Self motivated and comfortable working independently
Finish carpentry experience
Experience working with molding, foam, or similar fabrication materials
CNC machine experience
Previous manufacturing, fabrication, or production experience
