Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Warehouse Custodian to maintain the cleanliness and organization of our warehouse facility. The Warehouse Custodian plays a critical role in ensuring a safe, sanitary, and efficient work environment. This position requires a proactive individual who takes pride in their work and contributes to the overall productivity of the warehouse.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform daily cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal throughout the warehouse.

• Sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and other common areas to maintain hygienic conditions.

• Operate floor scrubbers and other cleaning equipment to maintain warehouse floors.

• Dispose of waste materials properly and ensure recycling protocols are followed.

• Restock cleaning supplies and notify management when inventory is low.

• Inspect and clean warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.

• Assist in minor maintenance tasks including changing light bulbs, unclogging drains, and reporting larger maintenance issues.

• Follow all company safety protocols and ensure cleaning chemicals are used in accordance with safety regulations.

• Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure workspaces are kept organized and free of hazards.

• Respond promptly to cleaning requests from staff and management.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Previous custodial or janitorial experience preferred.

• Ability to operate cleaning equipment and basic hand tools.

• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety protocols.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks for extended periods.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends, if needed.
