Production Technician in Hazelwood, MO!

As a crucial member of our production team, you will play a vital role in assembling and maintaining high-quality industrial machinery and equipment to meet the demands of our valued customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and Rebuild Equipment: Engage in the assembly and refurbishment of industrial machinery, including electrical, hydraulic, and welding tasks.
  • Project Management: Review project work orders, drawings, and build specifications to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Tool and Material Handling: Efficiently retrieve and manage the necessary tools, materials, and parts for each project.
  • Fabrication: Utilize welding skills to fabricate equipment using various types of steel and equipment such as oxygen/acetylene torches and plasma cutters.
  • Equipment Operation: Safely operate forklifts, welders, chop saws, grinders, and other power tools.
  • Work Order Completion: Follow instructions from the Shop Manager to complete work orders safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain Workspace: Keep your work area clean and organized, adhering to all safety protocols.
  • Documentation: Accurately process project documentation in a timely manner.
  • Team Collaboration: Communicate and collaborate respectfully with team members.
  • Dependability: Ensure regular attendance and punctuality to support our fast-paced work environment.

Qualifications:

  • Mechanical Aptitude: Strong mechanical skills and experience in the industrial or heavy equipment industries are preferred.
  • Hands-On Experience: Proficiency with mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components is a plus.
  • Technical Knowledge: Ability to comprehend operation manuals, basic designs, electrical wiring diagrams, and hydraulic schematics. Knowledge of programmable logic controllers, especially Allen-Bradley SLC, MicroLogix, and CompactLogix, is desirable.
  • Training Willingness: Eagerness to participate in company training programs to enhance knowledge and skills.
  • Communication Skills: Good interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Legal Eligibility: Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
  • Education: Minimum of two (2) years of hands-on technical experience with mechanical, hydraulic, and/or electrical components. A high school diploma or GED is required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, and hear regularly.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Specific vision abilities, including the ability to see color.
