Join Our Team as a Packing Specialist - 1st Shift!

Our client company is looking for dedicated Packing Specialists to join our 1st shift team. If you have experience in packing and shipping operations and are committed to maintaining a safe and organized work environment, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and Pack Orders: Skillfully build skids or boxes for packing and shipping all orders, ensuring they meet specific shipping requirements, including motor freight, flatbed, truck shipments, ocean export, and air freight.
• Operate Packing Equipment: Safely and efficiently operate packing equipment and tools, including crosscut saws, miter saws, nail guns, staple guns, banding equipment, and stenciling equipment.
• Follow Policies and Procedures: Adhere to all packing and preservation policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with operations work instructions and quality assurance standards.
• Perform Quality Inspections: Conduct thorough quality inspections on orders and materials, understanding and interpreting shop orders and specific requirements. Perform 100% inspection of materials.
• Understand Material Specifications: Possess working knowledge of material specifications such as grade, tempers, and alloy, and understand heat lot numbers.
• Mark and Identify Shipments: Properly mark and identify all shipments and materials, following stenciling guidelines on material per shop order work instructions. Accurately stencil shipping information as required.
• Fork Truck Operation: Become proficient in fork truck operation. Complete fork truck training and certification, passing the test to receive certification to operate a fork truck.
• Maintenance and Safety: Perform daily preventative maintenance on all equipment as specified. Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, wearing necessary safety gear such as safety glasses, steel-toed boots, gloves, and hearing protection.
• Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and organized work area by sweeping floors daily, properly disposing of trash, and keeping tools clean and in good working condition.
