Accomplished by: Builds skids or boxes for packing and shipping of all orders
Knowledge of all specific shipping requirements such as motor freight, flatbed, and truck shipments, as well as, ocean export and air freight packing.
Safely operates packing equipment and tools.
Proficient and knowledgeable of crosscut saw, miter saw, nail gun, staple gun, banding equipment, and stenciling equipment.
Follows Packing and preservation policies and procedures.
Know and understands applicable operations work instructions and quality assurance standards.
Performs quality inspections on orders and material. Reads and can fully understand shop order and specific requirements.
Performs 100% inspection of material.
Working knowledge of material specifications such as grade, tempers, and alloy.
Understands what a heat lot number is. Issued an in-process verification stamp.
Marks and identifies all shipments and material. Follows stenciling guidelines on material per shop order work instructions.
Properly stencils shipping information as required. Able to operate a fork trucks when required.
Become proficient in fork truck operation.
Go through fork truck training and certification. Passes test and receive certificate to operate fork truck.
Provides maintenance and records.
Daily preventative maintenance on all equipment as specified and required.
Safety Adhere to all Safety policies and procedures.
Wears safety glasses, steel toed boots, and gloves. Hearing protection and any other safety equipment as determined by Production Manager and/ or supervisor.
Ensure all containers properly marked and identified.
Housekeeping Sweeps floors daily.
Picks up all trash and properly disposes in appropriate containers.
Stores all equipment and tools properly. Keeps all tools clean and in good working condition
