Part Inspector - Quality Assurance

Full-Time | 2nd Shift | Temp-to-Hire | Monday-Thursday | 3:30 PM - 1:00 AM

What You'll Do

  • Perform visual and dimensional inspections of machined parts, sheet metal components, and assemblies
  • Verify completed manufacturing processes meet required specifications
  • Compare finished products to drawings, work instructions, revisions, and part numbers
  • Inspect prototype and non-conforming parts for quality concerns
  • Identify defects, damage, and dimensional variances
  • Use precision measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, gauges, comparators, scales, microscopes, and CMM equipment
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical documentation
  • Maintain accurate inspection records and quality documentation
  • Support production teams by providing guidance on quality standards and specifications
  • Follow safety procedures and contribute to a clean, organized work environment

What We're Looking For

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Previous manufacturing, inspection, or quality assurance experience preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and dimensional drawings
  • Experience using measuring and inspection equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Problem-solving mindset and commitment to quality

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the shift
  • Frequent use of hands and arms to inspect and measure parts
  • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach as needed
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Strong visual acuity, including close vision and depth perception
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment
