Loads, unloads, and moves materials within warehouse assigned
Reads work order or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials to be moved
Sorts orders based on due dates
Loads and unloads materials onto or from racks using forklift or side loader.
Installs strapping or bracing to prevent shifting or damage in transit
Conveys materials from storage to shear department
Counts our correct number of pieces to be removed from inventory and staged for Shear Operators
Completes in-process quality inspection of all material as it is being pulled and transported to the shear department. Immediately notifies supervisor if material is damaged
Provides work orders and other documentation as required to Shear Operators along with correct material order
Returns remnant (rem) stock to proper storage location after order has been cut
Follows all company safety and quality policies and procedures
Keeps area between racks and work areas clear for safe transport of material Competencies:

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to mist or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or graduation from a certified technical school
