Job Description

A leading Pennsylvania law firm is seeking a Municipal & School Associate for its Pittsburgh office. The Associate will work closely with Shareholders and Associates across the firm's full range of public sector clients, including municipalities, school districts, and public boards.

Responsibilities include advising clients on the Right-to-Know Law, the Sunshine Act, the Ethics Act, and other laws governing public bodies, and representing clients in zoning matters such as variances, special exceptions, and conditional uses. The Associate will support code and ordinance drafting and enforcement, draft collective bargaining and arbitration documents, and counsel clients on public bidding, contracting, real estate, eminent domain, and local tax issues. The role also involves attending public meetings and hearings, appearing in court, and advising on student rights and special education matters.

Candidates must hold a JD from an accredited law school, be licensed to practice in Pennsylvania, and have 2–4 years of experience with public sector clients. Strong writing, communication, and organizational skills are required. Experience with special education, public sector labor, iManage, and electronic court filing is a plus.
