Title: Sr. Python Application Developer
Location: Atlanta, GA

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Python Application Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems and APIs. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Python and Django, with hands-on experience building high-performance GraphQL APIs and optimizing data interactions using PostgreSQL.

You will collaborate closely with frontend developers, DevOps teams, and product stakeholders to deliver robust, scalable applications in a cloud-native environment. Experience with modern frontend frameworks such as React and messaging systems is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Python and Django
• Build and optimize GraphQL APIs for performance, scalability, and usability
• Design and manage PostgreSQL database schemas, focusing on performance tuning and query optimization
• Implement caching strategies using Redis to improve application performance
• Develop and manage session handling and data persistence mechanisms
• Collaborate with frontend teams (React) to deliver seamless UI/UX integration
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and CI/CD processes
• Troubleshoot and debug complex backend issues in production environments
• Contribute to system architecture decisions and best practices

Primary Skills (Required)

• 6+ years of hands-on backend development using Python
• Strong experience with the Django framework
• Expertise in GraphQL API development, schema design, and query optimization
• Solid experience with PostgreSQL, including indexing, query tuning, and schema design
• Hands-on experience with Redis for caching and session management
• Strong understanding of RESTful services, microservices, and API design principles

Good-to-Have Skills

• Experience with React (component architecture, state management, hooks)
• Familiarity with message queues such as RabbitMQ or similar
• Experience with Docker and containerized application deployment
• Exposure to AWS or other cloud platforms (EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, etc.)
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
