Position Overview:We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven National Sales Manager to join our growing team in the swimming pool lighting industry. This fully remote position requires an experienced sales leader with a deep understanding of the industry and a proven track record in driving sales performance, managing relationships, and leading a high-performing sales team. The National Sales Manager will be responsible for executing sales strategies, fostering strong customer relationships and driving revenue growth across the Eastern two thirds of the United States.Key Responsibilities:• Sales Strategy Execution:Responsible for implementing sales strategies and tactics for product lines, ensuring alignment with company goals. Focus on market expansion and customer acquisition whilst maintaining strong relationships with existing direct builders and distributors.• Team Leadership & Management:Lead, mentor and support a team of regional sales representatives. Assist in implementing performance goals, provide coaching and monitor performance to ensure achievement of sales targets and delivering exceptional customer service.• Market & Competitive Analysis:Continuously monitor and analyze industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activity to adjust sales strategies and identify growth opportunities. Leverage insights to position the company’s products effectively in the market. • Customer Relationship Management:Build and maintain long-lasting relationships with key accounts including distributors, swimming pool builders and retailers. • Sales Forecasting & Reporting:Monitor and maintain accurate sales forecasts for the region, providing regular reports on sales performance, market trends, CRM compliance and other relevant metrics to senior leadership.• Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams:Work closely with VP of Sales, Marketing, Product Development and Operations teams to ensure alignment on promotional activities, product launches, and overall sales goals.• Training & Development:Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for the sales team to ensure knowledge around all products, market trends and sales techniques for various sales channels. Ensure the team is well-equipped to handle customer needs and product inquiries. • Budget Management:Monitor and review the established regional sales budget, ensuring the efficient allocation of resources to achieve sales goals while maintaining profitability.Qualifications:• Experience:Outside sales experience in the swimming pool industry, emphasis on both distribution and dealer direct sales channels.• Industry Knowledge:Strong understanding of the swimming pool industry, including price, product offerings, different customer bases and market dynamics.• Leadership Skills:Proven ability to lead and motivate an outside sales team, with strong coaching and mentoring skills. Experience in travelling with and managing remote teams and achieving sales targets in a dispersed environment.• Sales Skills:Expertise in B2B sales including direct dealer sales, distribution sales, retail sales outlets and assisting key account development. A proven track record in cold calling on direct builders, working with buying groups and distributors. • Communication & Negotiation:Exceptional communication, negotiation and strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and persuade stakeholders at all levels in our industry.• Technical Proficiency:Familiarity with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce), MS Office Suite, and other sales-related tools. Ability to analyze data and market insights to inform sales strategies.• Travel:Willingness to travel approximately 60-75% of the time within the Eastern U.S., doing ride along with sales representatives, attending customer meetings, trade shows, and sales events.Preferred Qualifications:• Experience working with pool builders, distributors, pool service companies, retailers and OEM accounts.• Knowledge of LED lighting is highly desirable.• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or a related field.What We Offer:• Competitive salary and performance-based annual bonus opportunity.• Comprehensive benefits package includes health, dental, vision, 401K etc.• Ability to work from home in the time not required to be travelling in the field.• A collaborative and innovative company culture.
