Bright Flag Recruiting on behalf of Ashni, Inc., a local FedEx Ground contractor, has IMMEDIATE OPENINGS for a Lead Driver in Redding, CA! Our delivery drivers will be operating by delivering to local residents and businesses.

Pay: $25-28/hr based on prior experience

Schedule & Hours:  

• 5-6 day work week / 1-2 days off 
• Business has 6 Days of Operation, and 7 Days of Operation during Peak Season (Oct-Jan) 
• Will need to be on call 6 days a week in case of emergency 
• Dispatch time typically around 8am-9am, route times average around 8-10 hours

Responsibilities: 

• Arrive at FedEx terminal on time to pick up vehicle and packages 
• Operate delivery vehicles safely, securely, and competently 
• Handle and maneuver packages of varying sizes and weights without damage to the packages, vehicle, or yourself 
• Effectively use GPS to arrive at your destinations accurately 
• Scanning and logging packages 
• Ensure Driver compliance with daily duties regarding paperwork, Hours of Service compliance, Pre-Trip/Post-Trip inspection 
• Work to ensure all daily P&D routes are staffed, trucks are operational, and routes are operating efficiently 
• Ability to effectively use technology and software available for routing, safety, and more 
• Lead by example by being proactive, accountable, communicative, and possessing strong people skills to best motivate the team

Requirements: 

• Drivers must have previous relevant delivery driving experience 
• Drivers must have prior leadership, mentoring, or management experience 
• Drivers must be 21 years of age or older 
• Drivers must have a valid driver’s license and clean Motor Vehicle Report 
• Drivers must be willing to submit to a background check 
• Drivers must be able to physically manage packages up to 150 lbs 
• Drivers must be able to work in all weather conditions 
• Drivers must be able to pass a drug test and DOT physical exam (PAID BY EMPLOYER) 

No CDL required!  Company vehicle provided!  Candidates with previous experience are a good fit for this position!  Military veterans are welcome!
