Job Description

We are seeking a full-time BC Operations Manager! 

This role requires the ability to effectively lead a team of drivers managing ~14 package delivery routes across residential communities and businesses. The ideal candidate is adaptable, has a strong work ethic, takes ownership, and possesses excellent communication skills. 

**This is not a Monday-Friday, 9 AM-5 PM position. It will require some long-hour days and occasional weekend work, but it will also be flexible with your schedule when circumstances allow it.   

Schedule & Benefits: 

• Compensation: Mid $60Ks base salary + quarterly bonuses (up to $70K total earning potential) 

• Fuel Card: Provided for work-related transportation 

• PTO: 7 days per year 

• Fleet: 10 company-owned trucks + 4-5 rentals (may expand) 

• Dispatch Time: 8:45 AM 

Manager Requirements: 

• Must be 21 years or older (for insurance purposes) 

• Valid driver’s license with the ability to drive a straight truck 

• Willing to submit to a background check 

• Must pass a drug test & DOT physical (covered by FedEx) 

• Physically able to operate P-1000+ sized step vans and safely deliver packages 

• Previous FedEx experience preferred (UPS, Amazon, or other logistics experience a plus)

Key Responsibilities: 

• Oversee daily P&D (Pickup & Delivery) routes, ensuring efficiency, staffing, and truck readiness 

• Manage driver accountability, enforce policies, and handle communication with drivers & FedEx 

• Step in to drive routes when necessary 

• Record and report timesheets for payroll 

• Assist in recruiting, onboarding, and training new hires 

• Maintain efficient delivery routes using DRO (dynamic route optimization) – experience preferred 

• Coordinate vehicle maintenance & repairs to avoid downtime (mechanical knowledge is a plus!) 

• Promote a culture of safety and ensure all drivers complete required safety training 

• Maintain open communication with FedEx Ground staff
