Job Description

We are seeking a full-time Propane Delivery Dispatcher in the Nashville, TN area!

This person will play a crucial role in managing daily dispatch operations for service technicians, installers, and drivers across multiple states. We are looking for an analytical and proactive individual with several years of dispatching experience, capable of optimizing routes, managing real-time scheduling, planning, problem-solving and ensuring fleet efficiency.

**This is not a Monday-Friday, 9 AM-5 PM position. It will require some long-hour days and occasional weekend work, but it will also be flexible with your schedule when circumstances allow it.

Schedule & Benefits:

  • Typical Monday – Friday daytime schedule beginning at 7am with occasional Saturday
  • $55,000-65,000 annual salary, depending on experience

Manager Requirements:

  • 2+ years of previous dispatch experience required. Experience in an industry requiring high coordination, such as electrical, plumbing, trucking/delivery, or propane distribution, is strongly preferred.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Must be willing to submit to a background check.
  • Must have some proficiency using dispatch and tracking software. Experience with Samsara is a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Input Customer information, maintain records, and communicate delivery information.
  • Plan and optimize daily routes for service technicians, installers, and drivers.
  • Adjust routes as needed to accommodate real-time conditions and unforeseen challenges.
  • Assign technicians to appointments based on geographic considerations to minimize travel time and distance.
  • Use Samsara tracking system for real-time monitoring of vehicle locations.
  • Schedule necessary vehicle maintenance based on alerts, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  • Modify existing routes to accommodate company growth and the addition of new technicians. Manage increasing complexity as the company scales operations.
  • Be open to occasional travel for on-site support, meetings, and training.
