About BridgeVoice Interpreters

BridgeVoice Interpreters (BVI) is a Texas-based language access and interpreter staffing firm connecting credentialed interpreters with courts, law firms, and legal organizations nationwide. We staff qualified interpreters for courtroom proceedings, depositions, client consultations, and legal hearings.

Position Overview
BridgeVoice is actively sourcing bilingual professionals for contract court interpreter assignments in the Texas legal market. Candidates who are not yet licensed may enroll in the BVI Pathway Program to obtain their Texas JBCC credential before placement. Credentialed interpreters are eligible for immediate assignment consideration.

Responsibilities

- Provide consecutive and sight interpretation during courtroom proceedings, depositions, attorney-client consultations, and legal hearings
- Maintain strict confidentiality in all legal settings
- Adhere to the Texas JBCC Code of Professional Responsibility for Court Interpreters
- Arrive prepared and on time for all assigned proceedings
- Communicate scheduling conflicts or availability changes to BVI in a timely manner
- Complete required documentation for each assignment as directed by BVI

Requirements
- Native or near-native fluency in English and at least one additional language
- Texas JBCC Licensed Court Interpreter credential (required for placement; candidates without licensure must complete the BVI Pathway Program prior to assignment)
- Strong professional communication and demeanor
- Ability to interpret accurately under pressure in formal legal settings
- Reliable transportation to area courthouses, law firms, and legal facilities
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States

Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience interpreting in courtrooms, depositions, or legal proceedings
- Familiarity with Texas court procedures and legal terminology
- Experience working with immigration, family law, or criminal proceedings

Compensation
Competitive hourly rate commensurate with credential level and assignment type. Rate details provided during the placement process.
